Role of the Intake Specialist
The Intake Specialist is the first point of contact for our neighbors, conducting initial interviews to gather relevant information about their needs and circumstances. This role requires active listening, empathy, and accurate documentation to ensure that each neighbor’s situation is clearly understood and appropriately addressed. The Intake Specialist plays a vital role in creating a Christ-centered, compassionate environment where neighbors feel heard and valued.
Responsibilities of the Intake Specialist
Conduct thorough initial interviews with neighbors to understand their needs, challenges, and circumstances.
Provide a welcoming and supportive presence that reflects the philosophy of Redemptive Compassion.
Properly manage the neighbor’s expectations regarding the next steps in the Love INC process.
Communicate any immediate concerns or red flags to the Connection Center Manager.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with Love INC policies.
Review and correct transcripts of the conversation for accuracy.
Access and Input data in the Unite Us database as directed.
Qualifications Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to build rapport with neighbors and make them feel comfortable.

Specialized Training for Intake Specialists
In addition to the general onboarding training, Intake Specialists will receive focused training to ensure you are fully capable and trained for this important position at Love INC.


Role of the Validation Specialist
The Validation Specialist ensures the legitimacy of neighbor requests by verifying the information provided during intake.
Responsibilities of the Validation Specialist
Verify the information provided by neighbors during the intake process, contacting references, employers, landlords, or other relevant parties as needed.
Confirm the legitimacy of the request and document findings in the neighbor’s case file.
Communicate validation results to the Connection Center Manager.
Follow up with the neighbor if additional information or clarification is needed.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all validation activities.
Qualifications Skills and Competencies:
Attention to detail and investigative skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with third parties.
Ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and accountability.

Role of the Solutions Specialist
The Solutions Specialist resources validated neighbor needs by identifying possible appropriate solutions.
Responsibilities of the Solutions Specialist
Review validated neighbor requests and identify appropriate resources to meet their needs.
Collaborate with churches, agencies, and community partners to confirm their ability to meet the needs.
Document confirmed resources and ensure the case file is updated accurately.
Identify gaps in resources and communicate unmet needs to the Connection Center Manager.
Qualifications Skills and Competencies:
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Knowledge of local community resources and agencies.
Clear communication skills for coordinating with neighbors and partners.
Strong computer and internet search skills.

Specialized Training for Solution Specialists

Role of the Services Specialist
The Services Specialist facilitates the delivery of solutions by coordinating with neighbors and solution providers. This role ensures that the process is seamless, and neighbors receive the care they need. The Services Specialist also follows up to ensure the solution is successfully implemented.
Responsibilities of the Services Specialist
Coordinate with solution providers identified by the Solutions Specialist to deliver approved resources or services to neighbors.
Communicate with neighbors to schedule or arrange delivery of solutions.
Confirm that solutions have been delivered and address any issues or delays.
Follow up with neighbors to ensure their needs were met and provide additional support if needed.
Document all activities related to solution delivery in the neighbor’s case file.
Upon approval of the Connection Center Manager, document the outcome and close the case.
Qualifications Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate logistics and resolve issues quickly.
Empathy and patience when working with neighbors and solution providers.
